Reign Where You Are Planted — an early learning experience that honors your child’s strengths, spirit, and story.

About Us

Reign & Root Academy is a licensed home preschool and microschool program located in the heart of Boston. We are an inclusive, neuro-affirming, Christian-focused early childhood program serving learners ages 2.9–6 years old.

At Reign & Root Academy, children grow through hands-on play, outdoor adventures, and culturally rich experiences that spark curiosity, celebrate identity, and lay the foundation for lifelong learning.

We proudly combine the high-quality standards of a private school with the heart and intentionality of homeschool values — creating a warm, personalized environment where every child is known, loved, and empowered to thrive.

Rooted in our belief that all children deserve a meaningful and joyful learning journey, we center our work around real learning, real community, and real inclusion for real families.

  • Real learning means play-based, developmentally appropriate academics that honor children’s strengths and needs.

  • Real community means strong relationships between families, children, and educators built on mutual trust and collaboration.

  • Real inclusion means we welcome and affirm all learners, including neurodivergent children, in a space designed to nurture every child’s growth — spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.

Reign & Root Academy follows the Boston Public School calendar, offering consistency for families and supporting alignment with local school-year rhythms.

Mission Statement

When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.

To nurture neurodivergent and neurotypical children through faith-based, play-driven learning that honors individuality, supports emotional growth, and prepares each child to thrive — rooted in safety, inclusion, and joy.

Farm-to-School Program

At Reign & Root, we grow more than minds — we grow gardens! Our six small garden beds are part of our Farm-to-School program, where children learn how to plant, care for, and harvest fruits, veggies, and herbs. Each month features a “Root of the Month” focus, giving little learners hands-on experience in sustainability, science, and healthy eating. From watering to weeding, students get their hands in the soil and their hearts connected to God’s creation.

Nature-Based Learning

We treat the outdoors as our second classroom — a place for discovery, calm, and growth. Children spend daily time in the outdoor classroom with extended time twice a week, rain or shine, engaging in sensory-rich, play-based learning activities that spark creativity and resilience. Whether it’s puddle-jumping in the rain or building in the snow, we believe nature teaches lessons that can’t be learned inside. We only skip outdoor days when temperatures are unsafe.

Enrichment Experiences

From biblical character studies to music, movement, and cultural exploration, our enrichment offerings go far beyond the basics. Children might strum a ukulele, dance to West African drums, or explore the life of a Black inventor or artist. We intentionally center voices and stories from Black and Brown communities, both past and present, giving students a fuller view of God’s world and their place in it. Every enrichment activity is designed to build confidence, creativity, and cultural pride.

Our Hallmarks

At Reign & Root, children gently experience God’s love through our Experience God curriculum — designed with little learners in mind. We explore simple Bible truths through hands-on crafts, music, storytelling, and sensory play. Kids learn about kindness, gratitude, and courage in ways they can understand and apply, no matter their background. Faith isn’t forced — it’s modeled through love, patience, and joyful learning.

Family-Focused Care

We’re more than a school — we’re a village. Reign & Root is founded by a mom, built for families, and centered on real partnership with parents. You’ll feel connected, heard, and included every step of the way. We offer open communication, flexible supports, and shared celebrations, because we believe the best learning happens when home and school work together.
